Caleb Jenkins
By -
Caleb James Jenkins was born Oct. 16, 1996. Caleb was the oldest of Clint and Courtney Jenkins four children and was a loving older brother to his three sisters: Liberty, Emerson and Avery. He loved to be outdoors in the woods, riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes, camping and hunting. He played baseball, LaCrosse and football and had received the ranking of Star in the Boy Scouts. He was passionate about everything he did and always had a big idea that he was working on. He loved to read and as a kid would often be found reading well after bedtime with his headlamp on. Caleb was funny and always had a quick joke and a big smile. He loved technology and could figure out any mechanical problem. He was a skilled CNC operator and loved the detailed finishing work of a project. Caleb learned things quickly and took pride in problem solving. He loved good food and was a great cook, often making 5-star meals at 3 a.m. Caleb loved family vacations and visiting new places, he loved museums and history. Caleb loved working out and was so proud of the progress he made in the gym. He was a loyal friend and cared deeply about others. Caleb will be deeply missed, but we know we will be together again someday and that he will always be watching over us.
He is survived by his parents, Clint and Courtney Brown Jenkins; sisters: Liberty, Emerson and Avery; grandparents: Gale and Helen Brown, Chesterfield, S.C.; Charlotte Weybright, Fort Wayne; Treeca Jenkins, South Whitley. He also has many loving aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the U.S. He was preceded in death by grandpa, Arden Jenkins, South Whitley.
Memorial services in celebration of Caleb’s life will be held March 19 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Services will be at 4 p.m. led by Shane Checketts.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Fort Wayne Recovery and Allendale Detox so that in Caleb’s memory others can receive help. https://fortwaynerecovery.com/scholarship/
