Safe-Way Garage Doors Welcomes New Vice President Of Operations, Scott Taylor

Safe-Way Garage Doors announced Scott Taylor as the new vice president of operations. Taylor brings 32 years of engineering, manufacturing and operations experience in various leadership roles such as engineering manager, plant manager and director of operations.

For the past 16 years, Taylor has worked in China serving in the role of general manager of a Fortune 35 manufacturing group. There he oversaw the operations at multiple factories.

Ted Rock, CEO of Safe-Way Door said: “We are thrilled to have someone of Scott’s experience overseeing our manufacturing and quality groups. We know Scott will be an excellent addition to our staff and we look forward to his leadership as we move into 2023.”

Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an Master of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from Oklahoma City University. In addition, he is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt in Lean Manufacturing. Taylor is a native of Indiana and currently lives in Fort Wayne with his wife and son. His hobbies include reading, camping, working on cars (getting to buy new tools) and music.

Taylor seems perfect for this role as he has over three decades of manufacturing experience, most of them spent in equipment manufacturing. He has specialized in heating and air conditioning as well as ozone generators for the water treatment industry. He returned from China to the United States in 2020 with his wife and family.
