Robin Ann Rasor, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully following a long illness with her daughter, Kimberly Wynne, by her side.

She was born April 21, 1950, to Robert and Betty Callander Rasor in Warsaw, where she lived most of her life, graduating in 1968 from Warsaw High School. She attended IU-Bloomington before graduating and receiving her master’s degree in sociology from the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dennis. She is survived by her brothers, Andy, of Bloomington; and Aaron (April), of Carmel, Calif.; as well as cousins: Beth (Duane) Huffer, of Warsaw; Mike (Connie) Rasor, of Zionsville; Nancy (Al) Denny, of Warsaw; and Jo Ann (JB) Brugos, of Valparaiso.  She was the proud aunt of Dennis’ children: Katie, Becky and Greg, and unofficial “aunt” to many of her friends’ children.

Robin joined Zimmer in 1981 in production and retired in 2011, having held many positions including supervisor of word processing, manager of the quality improvement program and director of human resources. She was highly regarded by her peers and at all levels of the organization.

She was very generous, athletic, extremely intelligent and had a great sense of humor. People remember her beautiful smile, her laugh and how she could light up a room.

Her friends and their children were like her family, including Sharon Smith, Shelley Johnson, Kristy Lowe Hackleman and Pam Kolter. Also close were Cheryl Blanchard and Ramsey Railsback whose sons Loren and Mitchell were her godsons.

She loved summers in Grand Haven with her friends, and she loved her Aussies: Sammy and Buddy and, especially, Kim’s Rudy.

She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. She has been cremated, and no memorial service has been planned yet.

Please consider making any donations in Robin’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County.
