Margaret L. Warren “Marge,” of Claypool, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023.

Marge was born April 14, 1931, to Paul and Hazel Garrison Kingston in Dayton, Ohio. They moved to the Warsaw area in 1940. Marge graduated in 1949 from Warsaw High School and continued to keep her 49’ers together with class reunions for over 70 years.  

In addition, over the years she was a member of the Claypool Happy Homemaker’s, started the Claypool Women’s Fireman Auxiliary, worked in the county assessor’s office, she was a leader for the republican party, and was a long-time member of Tri-Kappa. After retirement, she volunteered at the Kosciusko County Historical Society, as genealogy was a passion for her.

On Nov. 18, 1950, she married Bob Warren; together they raised four children.  

She is survived by sons, Ed (Diana), Matt (Sheila) Warren; and daughters, Sarah (Sterling) Watkins and Paula (Roger) Gall. They had nine grandchildren: Amanda (Cory) Glowe, Margaret (Josh) Fabijance, Christy (Ben) Barnett, Laura (John) Dowdle, Wendy (Nick) Comer, Maggie Watkins, Jake and Adam Gall; and 10 great-grandchildren: Andrea, Braxton, Cooper, Makenna, Macie, Zaidden, Luke, Edwin, Fiona and Paul. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Janet Warren; nephew, Jack (Kerri) Warren; and nieces, Jill (Joe) Thallemer, Judi Warren; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul and William Kingston; brother-in-law, Layne Warren; and one grandson, Bryan Taylor.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. A memorial service in celebration of Marge’s life will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27 in the funeral chapel with Father Jonathon Norton officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Graceland Cemetery Claypool.  

The family kindly request the memorial donations to Stillwater Hospice Foundation (formerly Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice), 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46814.
