Dick was born in Wabash on Nov. 20, 1952, to Dorothy and Walter Ihnen, of North Manchester.
Dick had a successful career as an engineer. He worked for 25 years at Manchester Tool and Die and eventually retired after 13 years from Medtronic. Dick was involved in his kid's life and enjoyed his service on the North Manchester School Board.
Dick will be remembered by his wife, Janet Ihnen, of Warsaw; daughter, Heather (Michael) Marlow, of Millersburg; son, Alex (Katie) Ihnen, of Cincinnati, Ohio; son, Kent Shepherd, of Warsaw; daughter, Jody Hand, of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Larry) Dockter, of Fort Wayne; brother, Brian (Alice) Ihnen, of Suffolk, Va.; and sister-in-law, Connie Ihnen, of North Manchester; among with other beloved relatives. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Riggle; and brother, Larry Ihnen.
Titus Funeral Home is entrusted with care of Dick's arrangements. Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, June 24 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate a Life Celebration service.
