Learn about a community-changing program that a group of local leaders is hoping to bring to Kosciusko County.

The Integrated Reentry & Correctional Support (IRACS) Program community meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at Palette, 2521 E. Center St., Warsaw.

The IRACS program was created in response to the tremendous impact incarceration can have on individuals and their families in Indiana, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office. IRACS provides peer support teams who work daily within the jail to meet people where they are in their journey. The Kosciusko Country IRACS program efforts involve many community agencies, organizations and offices. The Kosciusko County IRACS Committee consists of community leaders from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and Jail, Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Kosciusko County Jail Chemical Addiction Program (JCAP), Kosciusko Coalition on Druge Education (KCODE) and LITE. Collaboration is vital to the impact and success of IRACS, the release states.

Individuals in recovery, community leaders and all community members are encouraged to attend. Everyone is invited.

Light refreshments will be available at the community meeting.
