Winners Of Pierceton Days Car And Parade Announced

PIERCETON - Winners of the 2023 Pierceton Days parade and car show have been announced.
The car show was held Friday evening while the parade was Saturday afternoon.
For the parade, the winner of the theme float was Pierceton Christmas Lights Committee, while the Warsaw Community High School Band won for marching unit.

The Jonah Studebaker family won for antique vehicle, while First Baptist Church of Pierceton took home the trophy for church committee.The Pierceton Girl Scouts won for kids unit, while the Belcher Family won for golf car.

The winner of Best of Show for the car show took home $250 and was Richard Westerman with his 2022 Jeep Gladiator. Charlie Rush and his 1976 Ford Bronco won the People’s Choice award and $100.

Under the 1980 and older truck top 10, winners and their vehicles were: Gene Meado, 1933 C/O Chevy; Charlie Rush, 1976 Ford Bronco; Rex Thomas, 1931 Ford; Roger Rapsavage, 1971 Chevy; Brian Erne, 1965 Jeep CJ 5; Chauncey Smith, 1936 Chevy; Brek Walls, 1957 Chevy; Wayne Kegley, 1957 Ford Ranchero; Rober Tower, 1969 Chevy C10; and Curt Haberstitch, 1969 Chevy.In the 1980 and newer truck top 10, winners and their vehicles were: Richard Westerman, 2022 Jeep Gladiator; Conner Sparks, 2012 GMC Sierra; Troy Johnson, 1996 Dodge Ram; Robert Riemersma, Chevy SS Silverado; Mason Roberts, 2015 GMC Denali; Traven Ousley, 1991 Chevy C1500; Cy Walls, 2022 Chevy 2500 HD; and Ryan Vetor, 2003 Chevy SS Silverado.

For cars 1980 and older, the top 10 winners were: Larry Harmon, 1970 Chevy Chevelle; Jerry Alber, 1937 Ford Roadster; Ellen Slabaugh, 1965 Pontiac GTO; Denny England, 1932 Ford Coupe; Jeff Richcreek, 1965 Olds Cutlass; Dan and Rose Redner, 1966 Olds Starfire; Ken Elder, 1969 Chevy Camaro SS; Terry Byrd, 1967 Chevy Chevelle; Frank and Karna Earl, 1930 Ford Model A; and Gary D. Jones, 1972 Road Runner.

Conley, 1991 Cadillac; Matt Yates, 2016 Dodge Challenger; Rex Maldt, 2001 Corvette; Zachary Owens, 2010 Dodge Challenger; Maria LaRue, 2011 Dodge Challenger; Tim Mort, 2005 Cadillac XLR; and Joel and Owen Snyder, 2018 Polaris Slingshot.
