K21 Health Foundation Announces New Developments In Partnership With KVC Cycling Club

K21 Health Foundation (K21) is continuing its financial partnership with the Kosciusko County Velo (KCV) Cycling Club, a local volunteer-run organization dedicated to promoting outdoor recreation and maintaining mountain bike trails in northern Indiana.
K21’s recent $30,756 grant will support the purchase of necessary equipment, ensuring the upkeep and improvement of existing trails while facilitating the development of new ones. This will allow KCV to continue its mission of providing safe and enjoyable trails, according to a news release from K21.
The ongoing association between KCV and K21 has been instrumental in the growth of cycling and bike safety in Kosciusko County. As an organization run entirely by volunteers, KCV relies on the financial support of community-minded entities like K21. The trails maintained by KCV Cycling Club offer an accessible and engaging way for individuals to remain active, promoting physical fitness and mental well-being, the release states.
KCV recently acquired a 15-acre plot of land adjacent to the Winona Lake Trails where they plan to develop a trailhead and gravel parking lot to help with hosting events like the Fat & Skinny Tire Fest and the DINO Mountain Bike Series race. Future phases include building an all-ages bike park with a pump track, skills park, and jump lines, as well as expanding parking, adding restrooms. This acquisition signifies KCV's commitment to enhancing the outdoor experience in Kosciusko County and fostering a vibrant biking community.
