Recently, the Kosciusko County Shrine Club and Warsaw American Legion Post 49, Sons of the Legion Squadron 49 and the American Legion Auxiliary donated $9,968 to the Shrine Children’s Hospital in Oak Park, Ill.
The funds were raised through the Shrine Annual Turkey Shoot and various fundraisers held by the American Legion.
Once again, the organizations thank the local business, individual donors, shooters and volunteers for their support.
The Shrine Hospital, which provides world-class orthopedic care, serves over 125 children in Kosciusko with medical needs, regardless of the family’s ability to pay, according to a news release from Chairman Don Smith.
“And as always, our local community realizes that ‘No one stands so tall as when they stoop to help a child,’” according to the release.
