Betty Jean Doub

NORTH MANCHESTER – Betty Jean Doub, 92, Silver Lake, passed from this life into Heaven on July 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, which would have been her 73rd wedding anniversary to Gerald Doub.
The daughter of Ellis Wayne and Alta Krieg Alexander, Betty was born on June 11, 1931, in Mentone.
After graduating from Silver Lake High School in 1949, Betty wed Gerald Doub on July 16, 1950. The two were married for 49 years before Gerald passed away on Dec. 22, 1999. During their marriage, Betty was both a sales representative for Avon Products for 46 years and a blessed homemaker. She was a life-long member of Center United Methodist Church and played the piano for services, weddings and funerals for 79 years.
The loving memory of Betty Jean Doub will be forever cherished by her sons, Kraig (Nancy) Doub, Kokomo; and Kris (Jeanine) Doub, Pierceton; daughter, Kimra (Max) Conrad, Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Doub; and sister, Arlene Anna Lytle.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, July 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20 at 11 a.m. with calling beginning at 10 a.m. at Center United Methodist Church, 9485 S. Ind. 15, Silver Lake, with Pastor Kent Harting and Pastor Cindy Osgood officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Myrtle Glen Drive, Silver Lake.
