Nappanee Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Friday Night

A Nappanee man was killed when his motorcycle hit an embankment and trees Friday night.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies and emergency personnel responded Friday at 10:26 p.m. to a motorcycle crash on CR 750N at the intersection of CR 750W in Kosciusko County, according to a news release from the KCSO. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located a single motorcycle involved in the crash.
Preliminary investigation determined a 1986 Honda motorcycle, driven by Benjamin R. Stogsdill, 36, Nappanee, was eastbound on CR 750N and failed to stop for a stop sign at CR 750W, the release states. The motorcycle continued through the intersection, striking an earth embankment and trees before coming to rest.
Stogsdill was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office as a result of his injuries suffered in the motorcycle crash.
The KCSO was assisted at the scene by the Lutheran EMS, Raven Wrecker Service and Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office. The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County FACT.
