Peoplelink Staffing Solutions has recently moved its office across town to 2516 Walton Blvd., Warsaw.

Thursday, they celebrated their new location with a grand opening and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.

Jessica Parra, Peoplelink branch manager, said the office previously was at R.P. Home & Harvest plaza for a long time.

“We definitely needed like a facelift and just a better area with a lot more traffic, and there’s a lot more people on this side of town as well, so it definitely feels like we’ll add a lot more feeling and to the atmosphere being here,” she said.

Peoplelink is a staffing agency.

“So not only do we help our talent get opportunities of work over here, we also kind of partner with local businesses that are looking for employees for employment. So we get with a lot of local people that are just looking for employment or looking for people and help them out as well,” Parra said. “We go from big corporate businesses to little Mom and Pop shops as well that just are needing some help finding some good employees.”

The Warsaw branch serves primarily the Warsaw and surrounding areas - Milford, Nappanee, Pierceton and Syracuse.

“We do have other locations,” she said, adding that the locations in Plymouth, Warsaw and Columbia City are within 30-40 miles of each other.

“We’re seeing a lot more employers want to use a temp agency and so that’s really good for us staffing agencies to be able to help them out and kind of see what their needs are. And, it’s definitely a lot faster and quicker to get these employees in there, too,” she said.

Peoplelink has a “pretty good return rate” of placing someone with a company within a week, whereas local companies may take a little longer than that, she said. “So we’re definitely getting them in there quick.”

Peoplelink always takes walk-ins and are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. They also accept phone calls and emails.

“Whatever way works best for them - whether it be an email, phone call or just stopping in - we’ll make it work,” she said.

Primarily, Peoplelink helps anyone over the age of 18 find employment. Parra said they can work with any background or medical restrictions a business or person may have.

“We definitely do a very thorough interview with them, and just try to see what works for them and what would fit best for them. It’s more of just matchmaking, career matchmaking,” she said.

Peoplelink is here to help serve the community, Parra concluded, in whatever way they can.

“I feel like a lot of people really don’t know about staffing agencies or kind of know how we work, so there’s a lot of misconceptions that people may come in here with, but we’re definitely here to help everybody and anybody. I feel like the best part of the job for me is having somebody who is at the lowest part of their life come in here, we put them out somewhere and their life just completely changes in a week or two because they have a job, they now have a car, they’re now able to help support their family. That goes a lot further for me than a thank-you. It’s really nice to see how we’re changing people’s lives just by getting them some employment,” she s
