The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club announced it donated $1,000 to Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts to give students scholarships for participation in classes at the Wagon Wheel Conservatory.

The donation will allow students who may not have been able to afford classes at the Conservatory to experience the benefits of learning through music, dance and acting, according to a provided news release.

Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide performing arts experiences that create community unity, educational opportunity and economic growth. They accomplish their goal through financial support of donations, grants and community support. The Wagon Wheel Conservatory program is the educational branch of Wagon Wheel and creates high-quality workshops and classes, run by theatre and artistic professionals who are passionate about offering performing arts learning opportunities to the community and educating the next generation of performers, the release states.

"We are thrilled to receive this generous donation from the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club," said Kira Lace Hawkins, education director of Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts. "This donation will help us to provide access to the arts for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate. Thank you to the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club for investing in the future growth and education of our youth."

"We are pleased to support the Wagon Wheel and its Conservatory program and the positive impact it has on the students and the community," said Chris Plack, president of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club. "We believe that the arts play a vital role in the development of our youth, and we are committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to experience the benefits of music, dance and theater."

The Wagon Wheel Conservatory offers classes in a variety of disciplines, including music, dance and theater. Winter and spring classes are open for enrollment now for students in second grade through high school, and scholarships are available to help make classes more affordable for families. New classes are being offered this year including Musical Theatre Dance, Beginning Tap and Musical Theatre Triple Threat Studio.
