Kosciusko County Sheriff Jim Smith recently welcomed three new hires to the department.

Merit deputy Jacob Anderson, of Warsaw, will be assigned to the patrol division, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

A North Manchester High School graduate, he and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters, Odette, 8, and Leona, 5.

Stuart Smith, of Warsaw, will be assigned to court security division. He retired from Goshen Police Department after 35 years, holding the rank of sergeant. He is the owner of Smoky Pines Cheese Co.

He and his wife, Beth, have a son, Justin Smith, who is a KCSO patrol deputy. They also have seven grandchildren.

Sheri Rapp, of Claypool, will serve in an administrative role as report coordinator for the KCSO.

Her husband, Matt, retired from the KCSO as a detective sergeant after 27 years of service.

They have two sons, Trenton and Trevor, and a grandchild.

Sheri and Matt are also members of the Warsaw Elks Lodge 802, the news release states.
