Fire At Warsaw Apts. Results In Damages Over $200K

County records indicate the apartment complex is owned by Lakeland Properties LLC, Plymouth.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Public Information Officer Max Kinsey said the fire department was dispatched at 5:05 p.m. and arrived on scene at 5:08 p.m. Upon arrival, smoke was seen on the street side of the apartment building with flames on the back side.
Firefighters applied water on the exterior of the back side, and fought the fire on both sides of the building.
The fire was knocked down at 5:31 p.m., with the scene cleared by 7:41 p.m.
Assisting at the scene were Leesburg Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Warsaw Police Department, Winona Lake Fire Department and the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and still under investigation.
