The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 4:23 p.m. Thursday - Dennis James Horn, 53, Elkhart, arrested for check deception. Bond: $1,000.

• 6:43 p.m. Thursday - Zack Rick Harris, 19, of 628 Ross Ave., Warsaw, arrested for battery of a person with a mental or physical disability. Bond: $10,250.

• 6:56 p.m. Thursday - Victor D. Ceballos, 47, of 2512 Oriole Lane, Warsaw, arrested for resisting a law enforcement officer by fleeing on foot, possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish, misdemeanor failure to appear and three charges of being a lifetime habitual traffic violator. Bond: $40,500.

• 4:30 p.m. Thursday - 2401 E. Center St., Warsaw. Pickup hit cement pole base. Driver: Karina E. Smith, 42, Parker Street, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.



Incidents

• 11:55 a.m. Thursday - A person was arrested for possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish with a prior and being a habitual traffic violator in the 1500 block of Armstrong Road, Warsaw. WPD.

• 6:01 p.m. Thursday - A person was arrested for battery of a person with a mental or physical disability in the 600 block of Ross Avenue, Warsaw. WPD.

• 7:35 p.m. Thursday - A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 2200 block of Dubois Drive, Warsaw. WPD.

• 10:15 a.m. Friday - An investigation into a person driving a motor vehicle while suspended was opened in the 800 block of North Parker Street, Warsaw. WPD.
