ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

    The City of Warsaw, Indiana Board of Public Works and Safety will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor and materials for the construction of the Center Lake Recreational Trail Project until 10:30 A.M. local time on April 6, 2023 at the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office at 102 South Buffalo Street, Warsaw, IN  46580.  All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:30 A.M. local time on April 6, 2023 at the Council Chambers, 1st Floor, City Hall, 102 South Buffalo Street, Warsaw, IN 46580. Any bids received after the designated time will be returned unopened.

qThe project consists of constructing approximately 1230 lineal feet of 10 ft. wide concrete trail, 120 lineal feet of 8 ft. wide sidewalk, 20 lineal feet of 7 ft. wide sidewalk, 214 lineal feet of 5 ft. wide sidewalk, demolition of two concrete piers (one encased inside the other), construction of two  structural steel piers with helical piles and composite decking, one at 90 feet and the other at 75 feet in length, demolition of the former pump house with asbestos abatement and concrete foundation sawing, construction of a new composite deck with steel channels atop the sawn pump house foundation. The project also includes construction of concrete seat walls and patio, relocation and installation of trail lighting, installation of architectural cable railings, stair railings, and park benches all within the Urban Limits of the City of Warsaw.                      

    The Project Documents will be available in electronic format to examine and download at QUEST CDN.COM.  The QuestCDN eBidDoc number for this project is 8349050. Only QuestCDN Plan Holders are eligible bidders.

    A Pre-bid meeting will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Council Chambers, 1st Floor, City Hall, 102 South Buffalo Street, Warsaw, IN  46580.  

    Bid proposals shall be complete and properly executed on the bid form and must be accompanied by an executed Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, confirmation that copies of Addenda were received (if issued), and satisfactory bid security.

    A certified or cashiers check payable to the City of Warsaw, or a bid bond in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid.  All checks of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned upon selection of successful bidder.  The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract amount.

    In determining the lowest responsible bidder, the City of Warsaw Public Board of Works and Safety will consider the Total Base Bid and Mandatory Add Alternate Bids made for the contract.  The City of Warsaw may also consider all other relevant facts mentioned in the Project Documents such as experience and subcontractors.

    The City of Warsaw Public Board of Works and Safety reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bidding and to award contracts in the best interest of the City of Warsaw.
