By Staff Report-
Tickets for the program and lunch are available on CCS’s website, and are limited to the first 100 registrations. Lunch will be provided by Saucy’s Barnyard BBQ and Catering.
CCS Executive Director Randy Polston said this fundraising event brings in operational dollars for the nonprofit that supports families in Kosciusko County.
“We call this event Love Thy Neighbor Luncheon because CCS desires to be ones who are ‘Helping Neighbors Help Neighbors’ by bringing the communities’ resources to a single location to assist families in immediate crisis and through long-term case management by giving a ‘Hand Up, not a Hand Out,’” Polston said.
Tickets, which include lunch, a presentation from guests and the CCS board, are at no cost, but a freewill donation will be accepted.
“We want to make folks aware of the impact that our services are making in the community,” Polston said. “We have roughly 700 families using the food pantry monthly, and 28 participants working hard to become financially self-sufficient. CCS removes barriers for low-income or in-crisis residents of Kosciusko County by offering programs that educate and support families and equip them to achieve a higher quality of life. We want to continue being that for our community.”
