Dustin was born June 16, 1982, the son of Charles and Jackalyn Byers Barrett in Warsaw.
Dustin’s friends nicknamed him “Buster.” He loved Burleys Milkshakes from Breeding & Breakfast Cigar Store. He worked as an engineer for Paragon Medical. Dustin enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He was member of the NRA, KOSCO Gun Club, Warsaw Rifle and Pistol Club.
Dustin will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Jackalyn “Jackie” Barrett, of Warsaw; brother, Steven Barrett, of Columbia City; sister, Deborah Barrett, of Tippecanoe; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in passing by his father, grandparents and two aunts.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. A memorial service in celebration of Dustin's life will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel with Pastor Phillip Millage officiating the service. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
The family kindly request the memorial donations to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707-3392; or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
