Matthew Abrams, age 31, of North Webster, passed away after a motor vehicle accident on Dec. 21, 2023.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1992, to Alan and Kelly Green Abrams in South Bend.
Matt's journey began being an active child. He grew up playing all kinds of sports, mostly baseball, going on adventures with his family and friends, learning new hobbies and having an infectious smile and laugh. He graduated from Wawasee High School in 2011. After graduation, Matt completed a degree in diesel technologies and had several jobs prior to owning and operating Grassman Lawncare & Landscaping.
Matt is also known for his kind-hearted nature, willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and being there for friends during good and bad times. As a friend, Matt was unparalleled. His generosity knew no bounds and he always went above and beyond to support those around him. His family and friends will remember him for his genuine thoughtfulness, desire to have fun and sense of humor. He was one of a kind.
Beyond family, friendship and work, Matt enjoyed time spent outdoors and having fun. He enjoyed snowmobiling and snowboarding during the winter months. Matt often could be found playing golf or on the Lakes with friends and family in the summer months. Matt is also remembered as a pet lover, he loved his chocolate lab Maisie and his old dog Gotti the most.
Matt is survived by his parents, Alan and Kelly Abrams, of Tippecanoe Lake; sisters, Rachelle Abrams and fiancé Sam Wiesenberg, of Milwaukee, Wis.; and Zoe Abrams, of Syracuse. He is also survived by a grandmother, Peggy Welty, of Warsaw.
He is preceded in death by grandparents: Freddy and Shirley Abrams, Bill and Sylvia Green and Lowell Welty.
Friends and family may come to visitation on Thursday, Dec. 28 at Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services of North Webster, 8056 E. CR 500N, North Webster. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. A Life Celebration® will follow starting at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mike Beezley.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Matt to the Kosciusko Animal Welfare League.
