Ruth Ann Schacht, 83, of Leesburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at Goshen Hospital.
Ruth was born on Jan. 18, 1940, in Woodstock, Ill., to David and Elsa Carlsson Anderson. She was a graduate of Woodstock Community High School in 1958 and a graduate of American Beauty Culture in 1962.
On Jan. 26, 1963, Ruth was united in marriage to Curtis Lee Schacht at Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock, Ill. They shared 60 years of love, happiness and family and spent the last 50 years enjoying lake life on Tippecanoe Lake.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Curtis Schacht, of Leesburg; her devoted sons, David (Tina) Schacht, of Elmhurst, Ill.; and Paul Schacht, of Leesburg; and three grandchildren: Kyle, Ryan and Lauren Schacht.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joann Vock.
