Warsaw Woman Taken To Hospital After Three-Vehicle Accident

A Warsaw woman was taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle accident on Husky Trail, Warsaw, Monday.
According to the Warsaw Police Department accident report, at 10:11 a.m. Monday, WPD responded to a three-vehicle collision on Husky Trail, south of Mariners Drive, Warsaw.
Brittany L. Walowski, 31, Sophie Lane, Warsaw, was unresponsive for the majority of when police were on scene and could not provide a statement of what had happened. Walowski was responsive enough to provide a breath sample and tell medics she consumed alcohol, the report states.
The passenger side of Walowski’s 2017 Nissan Altima sustained heavy damage.
Dawn M. Bass, 55, South Hunters Ridge, Warsaw, said she was driving north on Husky Trail in a 2017 Mazda. Bass said Walowski turned in front of Bass’ vehicle to enter the Martin’s parking lot, causing the front of Bass’ vehicle to hit the passenger side of Walowski’s vehicle.
The collision caused Bass’ vehicle to hit a 2019 Nissan Maxima, driven by Douglas S. Holtzclaw, 72, North Lake View Terrace, Syracuse. Holtzclaw’s vehicle was stopped at the entrance of Martin’s Supermarket at the time of the accident, facing west and preparing to turn onto Husky Trail.
Bass’ vehicle sustained front-end damage.
Holtzclaw said he was facing west at the stop sign in the Martin’s parking lot. Walowski was driving south on Husky Trail. Bass was driving north on Husky Trail. Walowski turned left in front of Bass to pull into the parking lot. The front of Bass’ vehicle hit Walowski’s. The collision caused Bass to hit the left front of Holtzclaw’s vehicle.
Holtzclaw’s vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front passenger area, according to the accident report.
Walowski was transported to Parkview Warsaw for immediate medical attention.
Walowski received an information and summons for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and citations for expired registration and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.
