FORT WAYNE – Questa Education Foundation announced the Traditional Scholars Program application is now open online, providing financial assistance to Kosciusko County students pursuing a degree in any field of study.
Supporting local students who otherwise might not be able to pursue their degrees due to financial barriers, Questa offers a financial aid option to students and families looking for a more affordable education, according to a provided news release.
Questa also specifically has funding available to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field, thanks to the continued support from K21 Health Foundation (K21). Questa and K21 partnered in 2011, creating a long-term, mission-driven partnership.
This partnership supports the education of future healthcare professionals who serve the local community, directly addressing K21’s goals to advance health and wellness for Kosciusko County residents. With support from K21, Questa prioritizes funding for students pursuing a degree in healthcare, including health sciences, nursing, physical therapy, pre-medicine, pre-pharmacy and other high-demand healthcare programs.
Questa Scholar Programs enable students to borrow up to $5,000 per year in forgivable loans, that can be up to 75% when they complete their degree and live and work in Northeast Indiana for five years after graduation. These programs create a unique opportunity for students to afford college, minimize their debt upon graduation, and give back to their local community. Questa funding is designed to encourage graduates to remain in Northeast Indiana to build our skilled workforce, the release states.
Current high school seniors and college freshmen (who plan on attending college in the fall of 2024), can apply under the Traditional Scholars Program (application is open Dec. 1, 2023, through March 15, 2024). Students with some credit returning to college and adult learners are eligible to apply under the Contemporary Scholars Program (application is open year-round).
