Combined Community Services (CCS) is gearing up for its 30th annual Toy Time event.
This year's event will take place Dec. 11-20 at the Home & Family Arts Building at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.
Toy Time is a multi-faceted event that offers several ways for the community to get involved:
Donate gently used children's toys and items from Dec. 11-14 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. All donations will be priced and sorted for the toy sale and toy giveaway.
Shop for a variety of gently used children's toys, books, games, bikes and more at the sale on Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fifty percent of the proceeds from sold items go back to the consignors, with the rest supporting CCS's toy giveaway.
Families in need can register at the event to receive free toys for their children at the toy giveaway on Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"Toy Time is a highlight of our year," says Ami Pitt, CCS Project Independence and Hand-Up case manager and the driving force behind Toy Time for the past 30 years.
"It's amazing to see the community come together to support families in need and ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the joy of Christmas,” she said.
CCS relies on the generosity of the community to make Toy Time possible.
