NORTH MANCHESTER - Manchester University announced an undergraduate tuition freeze beginning with the 2024-25 academic year.
The freeze comes with a four-year lock-in, meaning tuition for incoming students who arrive in fall 2024 is guaranteed to remain fixed at its current level for four years, according to a news release from the university. Tuition for returning students will be locked in until those students have completed four years at Manchester.
"We are continuing our work to address concerns students and families have about the rising cost of a college education. This tuition freeze and lock will help families plan ahead and better understand the total investment for their Manchester degree," said Stacy Young, president of Manchester University. "This tuition freeze will help new students enter Manchester with confidence - and help our current students return with confidence."
The tuition freeze is part of Manchester's ongoing commitment to making costs more predictable and affordable for students and their families, according to the release. Its recently completed $45 million Manchester Bold capital campaign, for example, will fund an array of key long-term initiatives for Manchester, including the creation of new endowed student scholarships.
