Reception Planned Dec. 20 For Retiring Mayor Joe Thallemer

A retirement reception for Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer is planned for noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20 at Zimmer Biomet Center Lake Pavilion, Warsaw.
It is an open house event and no RSVP is necessary.
Thallemer decided not to seek re-election this year after three four-year terms. Councilman Jeff Grose ran unopposed for the mayor’s seat and will take office Jan. 1. Juergen Voss ran unopposed for Grose’s council seat this year and also will take office in the new year.
Before being elected mayor in 2011, Thallemer served on the city council and the Warsaw Plan Commission before that.
