1 Injured In 2-Vehicle Collision On U.S. 30

A Larwill woman was injured during a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning on U.S. 30.
A 2020 Chevy, driven by Mary Griffin, 51, Larwill, was driving west on East U.S. 30 near the area of South CR 900E, according to information provided by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Doug Light.
A 2010 Mazda, driven by Eva Estep, 73, Pierceton, was leaving 9497 E. U.S. 30 and crossed the eastbound lanes of East U.S. 30. The vehicle then crossed the paved section in the median to continue traveling on the westbound lanes of East U.S. 30. Griffin was driving in the left lane of East U.S. 30 when Estep’s vehicle entered the roadway from the paved section of the median.
Griffin stated Estep’s vehicle pulled onto the roadway in Griffin’s lane of travel. Estep was unable to avoid the collision.
Estep stated she pulled onto East U.S. 30 from the paved median to go west when she was hit by Griffin’s vehicle.
Estep did not report any injuries. Griffin complained of chest pain and was seen by emergency medical personnel but refused further treatment.
No damage estimate was provided.
