Imagine being a child on Christmas morning and looking under the tree only to find it bare. That is the harsh reality for thousands of children across the United States every year.
In Kosciusko County, the Toys for Tots program exists to help eliminate some of the disappointed children.
The Echoes of the Past held their third annual Cram the Tram event seeking donations of new toys to support the worthy project.
The club began collecting toys in November, placing collection boxes at Splendor Boats in Warsaw and Silver Lake. Boxes were also placed at the Beacon Credit Union locations in Warsaw and North Manchester.
A collection day was held on Nov. 24 by placing the tram at the Warsaw location of Beacon Credit Union from 8 a.m. to noon for those wanting to donate a toy. The drive concluded on Dec. 2 when all the toys were given to the Toys for Tots organization.
