Man Injured By Car While Working In Manhole

A Franklin man was transported to the hospital after being hit by a SUV while doing work in a manhole.
According to a Warsaw Police Department accident report, at about 5:09 p.m. Wednesday, Amanda N. Miller, 31, North Main Street, Bourbon, was driving a 2018 Jeep in a parking lot at 550 W. CR 300N, Warsaw.
Aaron B. Loos, 22, Franklin, was completing work in a manhole when he was hit by Miller’s vehicle.
Miller said she was driving through the parking lot and she did not feel any bumps or notice anything unusual. She then pulled into a parking spot in the parking lot.
After reviewing surveillance footage, Miller’s vehicle was seen driving through the parking lot over the manhole. Loos is observed climbing out of the manhole shortly after. There was no visible damage to Miller’s vehicle.
Loos had an abrasion to the head and was transported to the hospital for further medical review.
Damage was estimated at $1,000-$2,500.
