Mishawaka at Wawasee

Wawasee boys soccer began Northern Lakes Conference play on a high note Monday night, defeating Mishawaka 4-0 at home. The Warriors are now 2-2-1 this season, 1-0 in the NLC.
Wawasee was led by two goals from Josh Trujillo. Also getting onto the scoresheet were Quentin Taylor and Xavier Washington, who both scored also. Dylan Hively had two assists.
The Warriors have about a week of downtime, playing their next game Tuesday evening at NorthWood.
Girls Golf
Warsaw at NorthWood

The Warsaw girls golf team added yet another win to its resumé Monday evening, defeating NorthWood 162-192 at McCormick Creek. The Lady Tigers are now 3-1 in Northern Lakes Conference play this season.
Abbey Peterson was the match’s medalist, pacing the rest of the field by shooting a 37. Three players tied for second place with a 41, including Warsaw’s Olivia Robinson-Gay and Abigail Davis. Claire Reust was not far behind with a 43.
The Lady Tigers were ranked No. 16 in the state in a poll released on Tuesday morning. Warsaw and Concord will compete in a three-way match Thursday at Wawasee.

The Triton girls golf team took third place in a three-way match against John Glenn and Knox Monday evening.
Chloe McKinney led her team by shooting a 54 for the Lady Trojans. Brooke Kitch shot a 62 while Cheyenne Hawley and Morgan Heckaman both shot a 71.
Triton’s next match will be held at North Miami Thursday evening.

Manchester at Tippecanoe Valley

Tippecanoe Valley earned a win over former conference opponent Manchester Monday evening, defeating the Squires 3-2.
No. 1 singles player Cameron Manuel was fantastic in his match for Valley, winning 6-0, 6-4. No. 2 singles player Tristyn Ragon won 6-2, 6-0. The match was clinched for the Vikings by the No. 1 doubles pairing of Ian Cooksey and William Mellott, who earned a 7-5, 6-7 (6-8), 6-1.
