This letter is in response to Jeanne Schutz’s letter on the 22nd of August.
First of all, let us present the whole quote that President Trump made, "They’re not coming after me, they’re coming after you – I’m just standing in their way.”
Yes Jeanne, you are right they are not coming after you, that is, they are not coming after you yet. They're just using you right now to gain power. So right now you are a part of "They.” You will remain a part of "They" until you are in the way. Yes, eventually you will also be in the way. That's how tyranny comes to power.
You say the MAGA minions (your choice of words, not mine) are coming after you - verbally. I believe that is called freedom of speech, or are you the only one that should be allowed to write to the editor?
You say the MAGA minions are coming after you - psychologically. Are you saying that the arguments from the other side are causing you distress? Are their opinions causing you to reconsider your own?
You say the MAGA minions are coming after you - violently. Please let us know exactly what has happened. To make a statement such as that is inflammatory at the bare minimum. To be taken seriously you must substantiate such a claim.
By the way, just for the record, your group is loud, crude and crass. You do wear hats, fly flags and rail at rallies. As far as your opinion of yourselves being quiet, determined, steadfast and honest, I commend you because it's always good to add a little humor to one's letters.
