August 24, 2023 at 7:44 p.m.

NORTH MANCHESTER – Kathleen L. “Kathy” McClure, 75, North Manchester, passed from this life and joined her husband Tom in Heaven on Aug. 23, 2023.
The daughter of Herman and Doris Troxel Schumacher, Kathy was born on Aug. 8, 1948, in Onarga, Ill.
During her elementary and middle school years, Kathy grew up on a farm in Silver Lake before moving to South Whitley, where she graduated high school in 1966. She worked at Custom Magnetics for 46 years and part-time at Timbercrest, Peabody and Nordmann’s Nook, all of which are in North Manchester. Kathy was a ray of sunshine who was always positive and enjoyed being social. She had a passion for dancing and was a member of the Roann Renegades Line Dancers. Nothing, however, held a candle to the love she had for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A woman of faith, Kathy loved her Lord Jesus Christ and worshiped at the First Brethren Church in North Manchester, where she was a member and part of the nurture group.
On Aug. 25, 1990, Kathy married Tom McClure. Each bringing their own children into the marriage, they became one family. During their 25 years together, the two had numerous adventures and made many memories together. On Nov. 10, 2015, Kathy lost Tom when the Lord called him home.
The loving memory of Kathy McClure will be forever cherished by her daughters, Marjory (Brian) Stayer and Danielle McClure, both of North Manchester; son, Jeff (Amy) McClure, Valdosta, Ga.; brothers, Charles Schumacher, Warsaw; and Robert Schumacher, New Bern, N.C.; grandchildren: Brandon (Aisha) Stayer, Micaela Luevano, Isabela Luevano, Cesar Luevano, Caroline (Levi) Watson, Zachary (Wendy) McClure, Kala McClure and Zachary Wilkinson; and eight great-grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom McClure; brothers: Paul, Ray and David Schumacher; and sister, Janet Boyack.
Family and friends may call Saturday, Aug. 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 West, North Manchester. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held following the visitation with Pastor Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley St., North Manchester, at a later date.
For those who wish to honor the memory of Kathy L. McClure, memorial contributions may be made to the Wabash County Cancer Society, P.O. Box 144, North Manchester, IN 46962.
