Cynthia J. “Cindy” Harper passed away on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, at Majestic Care of Jefferson in Fort Wayne.
Cindy was born on March 2, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Nola Durham Jones.
On July 4, 1980, Cindy married Billy Ray Harper in West Liberty, Ky. While her husband was in the military, the couple really enjoyed traveling and going to new places.
She was a loving wife and enjoyed raising their daughters. Cindy worked as a CNA for a few years when her girls got older.
Cindy was very artistic, especially in drawing and loved crafts. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch and making blankets and quilts.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy (Shane) Harper Hawk, of North Webster; and Amanda (Chris) Harper Soh, of Fulshear, Texas; numerous grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sons, Aaron (Shavannah) Lunsford and Christopher Marshall; and sister, Teresa (Ben) Germann.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; daughter, Mellissa; her mother, Nola; and a grandson, Tyler.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at a later date in the Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
