Wagon Wheel Announces Auditions For Youth & Teens

The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts announced auditions for youth/teens for the next Wagon Wheel Junior production, “You Ain’t Nothin’ But A Werewolf,” and the professional theater holiday show of the family-friendly musical version of “A Christmas Carol.”
The casting for “You Ain’t Nothing’ But A Werewolf” is for youth ages 9-18, while the youth ensemble casting for “A Christmas Carol” is for small roles for ages 7-14.
Both shows will be auditioned at the same time. Simply fill out the form when you arrive stating which show or shows you wish to be considered for. You can audition for just the WWJR show, “A Christmas Carol” or both.
Be certain to double check all rehearsal dates and performances outlined below. Due to limited time constraints, Wagon Wheel cannot accommodate multiple conflicts. For more information, visit the website at wagonwheelcenter.org or email [email protected].
Auditions are Aug. 19. For ages 7-9, auditions are at 10 a.m.; ages 10-12, 10:45 a.m.; ages 13-18, 11:30 a.m.
Callbacks for “A Christmas Carol” will take place at 12:30 p.m. Your child may be asked to stay or come back for the 12:30 p.m. callback.
Auditions are at the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts lobby, 2515 E. Center St., Warsaw.
No need to prepare anything. The Wagon Wheel will teach you a short song. Those asked to stay for callbacks for “A Christmas Carol” will be singing selections from the show.
The Wagon Wheel Theatre is dedicated to practicing inclusive, diverse and non-traditional casting. They encourage all youth from the greater Warsaw area and beyond to attend.
Rehearsals, Performances For Jr. Show
Rehearsals (Subject to change):
• Oct. 12, parent meeting and casting, 5 p.m. At least one parent needs to attend.
• Oct. 13, music rehearsals, 5-8:30 p.m.
• Oct. 14-15, weekend rehearsal all day and afternoon/evening. Time to be determined.
• Oct. 16-20, rehearsals after school, typically 5-8:30 p.m.
• Oct. 21-22, weekend rehearsal all day and afternoon/evening. Time to be determined.
• Oct. 23-26, tech rehearsals after school, typically from 5-8:30 p.m.
Rehearsals on Oct. 12-14 and 23-26 are mandatory.
Performances will be Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 28 and Oct. 29 at 2p.m.
