Albert Duane Jones, 76, Winona Lake, died at 9:19 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023.  
He was born May 18, 1947, in McAlester, Okla., to Mary Helen Painter Jones and Albert William Jones.
Albert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on Sept. 13, 1966, and served in the Vietnam War as a radio telegraph officer and as a chaplain in the Army. He was honorably discharged on Aug. 24, 1970.
On April 3, 1971, Albert married Katherine “Kathy” Faith Norris, who survives.
Albert’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Bruce Barlow and assisted by Phil Sparling. Military rites will be conducted by members of the American Legion Post #49, V.F.W. #1126, both of Warsaw, and active-duty members of the Marine Honor Guard.
Albert’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 at Grace Village Retirement Community in The Chapel. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
