A Warsaw woman was arrested after allegedly exposing herself in the presence of minors.
Lara Jane Santoyo-Hernandez, 38, of 929 N. Old Orchard Drive, Warsaw, is charged with vicarious sexual gratification, a level 6 felony; and public indecency, a class A misdemeanor.
She was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 12:23 p.m. Thursday on a $5,250 preliminary bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on April 20 a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a call about a citizen assist.
When the deputy arrived on the scene, a man said Santoyo-Hernandez wore light clothing and danced on her balcony in a sexual manner.
The man provided a video of the incident and three minors saw Santoyo-Hernandez intentionally expose her upper body. The man rushed the three minors inside. The man said Santoyo-Hernandez’s genitals below the waist were not covered and she used obscene language and gave them the middle finger.
The deputy spoke with a fourth minor who said Santoyo-Hernandez exposed her full upper body and gestured about doing a sexual act with him, according to court documents.
Santoyo-Hernandez admitted to dancing on the balcony. She said she wore a body suit that covered her completely and her movements were just dancing. She said she grabbed her top during the dance to lower it, but never showed her nipples. She also denied making a sexual gesture to anyone.
Santoyo-Hernandez said she would go inside when the children were around when she danced. She said she'd used obscene language with neighbors and gave them the middle finger.
The deputy watched a video and saw Santoyo-Hernandez expose her full upper body, but could not determine if her genitals below the waist were covered, according to court documents.
