Minor Injuries Reported In Saturday Night Crash

According to information provided by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, a green 2022 Nissan Frontier truck, driven by Paul Schacht, 54, Leesburg, was westbound on McKenna Road near the intersection of CR 600E. A gray 2016 Chrysler 200, driven by Jose Heredia, 29, of Ellisville, Mo., was traveling east on McKenna Road. The vehicles collided head-on, causing substantial damage to both vehicles.
Each driver accused the other driver of traveling left of their respected lane, causing the front-end collision, according to the accident report.
Schacht refused medical treatment.
Heredia was treated at the scene for minor bleeding to the lower arm.
Greseldo Lopez, 46, also from Ellisville, was a front-seat passenger in the Chrysler. She was taken from the scene by ambulance to a hospital for a leg injury, according to the KCSO.
Schacht provided a portable breath test of .235% breath alcohol content and an operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated investigation was initiated, the report states.
Heredia provided a portable breath test of .035% BrAc.
