McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels Welcomes Caryn E. Durski

Caryn E. Escher Durski, a native of Mishawaka, graduated from Mishawaka High School with the class of 2005.

She attended IU-South Bend studying the field of nursing until deciding to attend Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Ill. She graduated with the fall class of 2011 with a degree in Mortuary Science. She passed the National Board Exam prior to her graduation date. She did an internship in Yankton, S.D., at the Opsal-Kostel Funeral Home and passed the state boards for a funeral director license. She was given the opportunity to move back closer to home and family by joining the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth as funeral director working with her role model, Randy Danielson. The ownership would change in 2017 and Durski would become Junior Partner at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home. After more than 10 years, she decided a change was needed and excitedly joined the staff of McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home in April.

At McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels she will be serving  families with Senior Funeral Director David Baker.

Durski and her husband Joe, along and with their three children, Neala, Orrin and Nolin, currently reside in Plymouth. but the thought of making Warsaw their new home is a topic of discussion. She attends St. Michael Catholic Church in Plymouth.
