The election on May 2nd is an opportunity to get the Town of Winona Lake back on track!

After the three town council meetings this month, we have learned more about what is happening in the clerk-treasurer’s office and:

• We are shocked at the ineffectiveness of the current Winona Lake clerk-treasurer.

• We believe that the finances should be completed and filed in a timely manner and not six-seven months late.

• We believe vendors should be paid in a timely fashion.

• We believe financial reports should be given to department heads monthly and with clarity.

• We believe payroll, taxes and insurance should be accurate and if a mistake is made it should be corrected immediately.

• We believe the clerk-treasurer should be approachable and have the ability to work with department heads.

• We believe that the clerk-treasurer should work within the state government guidelines.

• We live, serve, and love this community and put our trust in Heather James for Winona Lake clerk-treasurer.

Let’s select someone who is detail oriented, fiscally responsible, concerned for the long term, has effective communication skills and is willing to work with town officials, not against them.

As an experienced town council member, Heather James is well aware of what needs to be fixed in the clerk-treasurer’s office. And, she is ready to tackle the challenge with professionalism, transparency and absolute accountability.

We support Heather James!

On May 2nd, vote Heather James for clerk-treasurer of the Town of Winona Lake, and let’s get the books back on track!

Respectfully,

Concerned Citizens
