Christian Radio

In December 2020, I moved down to the Warsaw area. My mother, sister and brother-in-law all helped to get me settled in the new place.
Mom had given me a radio and soon I began to seek out a Christian radio station.
After a very brief period of listening to the WTN radio network, I turned the dial counter-clockwise, only to discover a Christian radio station out of Wakarusa, which is part of the Bible Broadcasting Network (BBN).
Words cannot express how much I appreciate this radio station. It is a literal “godsend.”
There were Christian/religious radio stations back in Pennsylvania, but this station is so different from most of those.
I was checking out one of the “soft rock” stations I used to listen to back in Lacaster, only to discover that the station had been sold to a company from California and made a change in format to so-called “Contemporary Christian” music. Given the problems with a few of the so-called “artist” in that genre of music, that comes as a surprise.
At one point, I used to put the radio dial on to a station which was part of a network called “Family Radio Network.” Some of their programming was interesting, as the various ministries which aired over “FRN” were not connected to the network.
Around 2012, FRN founder Harold Camping began telling listeners that Jesus Christ was going to return on a “specific date” in 2012.
Despite the fact that in Matthews 24:36, it reads concerning Christ’s return, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Christ was saying this to His friends and followers.
Harold Camping insisted that he knew when Jesus would return. But that date came and went without Jesus’ return.
The Family Radio Network shut down soon afterward.
“BBN” states that their network has been on the air since 1971. It’s funny that I never heard of them until a few months ago.
This is a different kind of Christian station than the ones I’ve heard over the years; but I enjoy it because their programs teach the truth!
None of us knows when Jesus Christ will return, but that does not mean we should not always be ready.
Only by repenting, calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, confessing our sins and asking Him to forgive us of our sins. Then living by His Word, His commandments, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Believing on His sacrifice.
I thank God for every one of you, as we live in an incredible age, and exciting time.
