Delta Theta Tau Begins Geranium Sales For Fundraiser

By Staff Report-

Delta Theta Tau began their annual geranium sales.  This year they are offering four colors: red, salmon, pink and white.

The sorority has large patio and hanging basket sizes ($26 each) along with a 5-inch size ($5.50 each). They will take orders up to April 29 and start deliveries May 2 with all delivered before Mothers’ Day, according to a provided news release.  They are grateful to Anderson Greenhouse in Warsaw that helps make this happen by providing the geraniums and helping each of the sisters get their orders sorted for delivery, stated the release.

If you want to order geraniums, call 574-527-1612 by April 29 to make sure you get your order placed.

The group thanks the Warsaw community friends who help them raise funds that they distribute philanthropically back into the community, stated the release.

In the past year, the chapter donated over $4,000 to various organizations helping families with children:  Joe’s Kids, Magical Meadows, Healthy Families, Combined Community Services Christmas families, school closets at Claypool Elementary, Leesburg Elementary and Edgewood Middle School; Room at The Table closet for foster children, Boomerang Backpacks, Gateway Education Center, gas cards to be given to local cancer patients who have to drive for treatment appointments and Fellowship Missions.

In addition to these donations, the sorority sews walker totes and lap blankets for local nursing homes as well as burp cloths, taggies and bibs for Healthy Families and Room at The Table for foster children.

Anyone interested in joining the philanthropic organization can contact Marcia Randolph at 574-527-1612.

Data Center
Editor, Times-Union: I am writing to express my deep concerns about the proposed data center in Clunette, Indiana, and its potential impact on our community's agricultural heritage. As residents, we are fortunate to be surrounded by a rich history of farming and agriculture that has shaped not only the landscape but also the identity of our community. The proposed development threatens to disrupt this tradition and could have long-term consequences for our agricultural future.
