I’ve always felt pride in the independence and honesty of our local newspaper. I submitted a letter back in 3/13/2021 titled “For the Health of the Public.” I spoke about a Denmark study I read about which said that the masks didn’t work for COVID-19. Paraphrasing it said any mask short of an N-95 mask had little value in preventing being infected by COVID-19 nor the ability to transfer the virus!
WOW! I asked the Times-Union to publish this, long before our CDC finally admitted this fact to be true. The Times-Union also published my letters titled “Can We Start Over” 11/23/202 and “Alone Again,” 11/25/2020.
The letters I reference were my opinion of a government which has abandoned the beliefs of our Founding Fathers. Surely, anyone paying attention today can recognize that things are not right. Our children are being indoctrinated, forced to succumb to their mental weaknesses as well as social pressures. Children no older than 6 years old are pressured to make decisions about “who they are,” what sex they are, and if they want any drugs to help them down the path to what will be their undoing. All this is going on without the knowledge or consent of their parents.
It is amazing that a small town like Warsaw has so many people who express their opinions. The fine lady from Winona Lake who pesters me with her disjointed ramblings, tries her best to make an argument for the leftist, but only makes a cogent argument of what chickens may be thinking about.
I guess my point is we have a very diverse and rich collection of people and ideas. This is something we can be proud of, but most of all, we can have pride in a newspaper which incapacitates the very ideal which our founders gave their lives for. The proud newspaper now moves on through a troubled time. They continue to publish the, sometimes, controversial view of political hacks like myself and my other “Letters” colleagues.
My hat is off to the Times-Union and their unabashed support of the freedom of speech and how, because of it, have scooped many national newspaper and never even knew it ... they never knew they published the truth first.
