Elkhart at Warsaw
A late Elkhart push was not enough for the visitors to take down Warsaw Saturday afternoon, as the Tigers earned a 14-11 victory at home. Warsaw improves to 2-2-1 this spring.
Four different Tiger hitters had at least 2 RBIs on the day, led by Josh Shapiro who had three and hit a home run. Leadoff hitter Jette Woodward and right fielder Josh Reihl also added a long ball. Kellan Bailey got on base three times.
The Tjgers are scheduled to open up Northern Lakes Conference play Monday night against Wawasee. First pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
Manchester at Concord
It was a very successful road trip for Manchester baseball Saturday morning, as the Squires took both games of a doubleheader against Concord, winning 5-3 and 18-13. Manchester is now 3-4 this season.
The Squires scored three runs after the fifth inning in game one to come away with the victory. Evan Martynowicz had two RBIs in the game while Davin Hendrix added a double and a run batted in. Gavin Martin struck out five in seven innings of work, giving up three earned runs, none in the final four innings.
Manchester remains on the road Monday, traveling to Oak Hill. First pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
Heritage at Whitko
Whitko extended its win streak to six with a pair of wins Saturday morning, defeating Heritage 5-4 and 4-3 to sweep the doubleheader. Whitko improves to 7-1 this season.
Easton Grable had a hit and an RBI in game one. Riley Harman gave up three earned runs and struck out five in a complete game. Morgan Andrews had two hits and a run driven in during game two. Tyler Redmon struck out six hitters in just 2.1 innings of work.
Whitko is back in action Monday evening against West Noble. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Tri-Central at Triton
It was a tough Saturday for Triton, as the Trojans dropped both games of a double header to Tri-Central, falling 14-0 and 18-4. Triton now sits at 3-5 this season.
Braxton Kaufman had a hit and drove in two runs in game two. Drew Bingamon also added an RBI, leading his team with two hits.
Triton hosts North Judson with a first pitch time of 5:30 p.m. Monday evening.
East Noble at Wawasee
Wawasee is still searching for its first win of the spring after falling 15-2 to East Noble in six innings Friday night. The Warriors are now 0-4 this spring and will host Warsaw for their next game Monday evening.
Softball
Triton at Wawasee
Wawasee won its third in a row Saturday morning, defeating Triton 11-0 in five innings. The Warriors improve to 6-2 while the Lady Trojans are still searching for their first win at 0-7.
Wawasee’s Ava Couture had a huge day, hitting a home run, driving in three runs and scoring four of her own. Brooke Catron also drove in three runs. Evelyn Duncan struck out nine in her five innings of work.
Wawasee plays at Warsaw Monday at 5 p.m. while Triton travels to Knox for a 5:30 p.m. start time.
Manchester at Fremont
Manchester was able to put plenty of runs on the board but was unable to come away with a win against Fremont in a doubleheader Saturday, falling 15-11 and 12-10. The Lady Squires are now 1-6-1.
Olivia Neal had three RBIs on three hits, including a double in game one. Molly Schannep had two hits and two runs driven in. Paxton Baker and Hadley West each had four RBIs in game two, with Baker going 4-4 with a triple.
The Lady Squires host Adams Central Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m.
Plymouth at Tippecanoe Valley
Tippecanoe Valley made it three wins in a row Friday night with a 13-3 victory in five innings over Plymouth. The Lady Vikings are now 3-1 this spring. Tippecanoe Valley plays next at Culver Community Monday night at 5 p.m.

Warsaw/Manchester at Tiger Tournament
Eight teams competed at Warsaw’s Tiger Tournament Saturday morning, with Warsaw taking first place on their home court. Manchester earned a third place finish.
Warsaw’s No. 1 and No. 3 singles players Addie Lind and Emma Van Puffelen each took first place. Lind defeated Manchester’s Sara Kerlin in the finals. Lady Squires’ No. 2 Myla Crozier also earned a first place finish, defeating Warsaw’s Abby Nicholas in the final. No. 2 doubles winners Claire Reichenbach and Lucy Wray also represented the Lady Tigers.
Warsaw plays at Plymouth Tuesday evening while Manchester hosts Maconaquah.
Tippecanoe Valley at Plymouth Invite
Tippecanoe Valley earned a fifth place finish at the Plymouth Invite Saturday morning.
The Lady Vikings featured two top three finishers: No. 2 singles player Karegan Callahan and No. 1 doubles side Lily Ault and Ella Sandbakken. Tippecanoe Valley’s next game is Thursday against Whitko to begin Three Rivers Conference play.
