AKRON – Scott Rogers, project manager for The Skillman Corporation, updated the Tippecanoe Valley School Board about the high school construction project during the board’s work session Thursday.

Rogers said a temporary wall was put up separating the pool area from the exterior of the building.

He also said all the storm, water and sanitary lines have been installed. Some of the smaller drains will still need to be installed. He said the piping will flow away from the building and contractors are being careful with existing drains to tie them back into the current system because “we don’t want to find water isn’t going anywhere.”

The ceiling of the pool area will also be replaced, said Michael K. Schipp, principal project leader at Fanning Howey.

Rogers said there is no change to the completion schedule since March’s meeting.

In other business, the board learned:

• They will hear about summer school during its regular board meeting Monday.

• Be asked to approve some retirements Monday, including for Lori Tilden-Geiger, director of marketing, public relations and grant writing.
