SOUTH WHITLEY - Whitko Jr.-Sr. High School announced its 2023 valedictorian as Anna Elizabeth Arter and salutatorian as Jordyn Jenai Leininger.

Anna is the daughter of Dale and Tonya Arter. She plans to study pre-pharmacy at Manchester University.

In high school, her activities and clubs include girls varsity, National Honor Society secretary, art club past member, math academic team, After-School Central SERVE student, junior team tennis, peacekeepers and the volleyball team.

Jordyn is the daughter of Thad and Rochelle Leininger. She plans to attend Butler University as an exploratory studies major.

In high school, her activities and clubs include FFA (competing in livestock judging, meats evaluation, livestock skillathon, career development event - sheep proficiency, district leadership development events - employment skills, prepared public speaking and talent), 4H (competing in the Kosciusko County fair, Indiana state fair, various regional shows and national competitions), National Honor Society (serving as the 2022-23 treasurer), Peacekeepers, varsity soccer and cross country (2020), Wagon Wheel Theatre, Fort Wayne Youtheatre, titleholder in Miss Indiana organization, titleholder in Miss Indiana Teen USA Pageant, Poss-ABILITIES and peer tutoring.

Graduation will be at 6:30 p.m. June 2 in the Whitko Jr.-Sr. High School gymnasium.
