Kitchen Table Issues

Definition of title: Issues that are of concern to the average person that might be discussed by the family around the kitchen table. Examples are jobs, taxes, social security, health care, the economy. In other words, the sort of everyday concerns that confront ordinary folks on a daily basis.
Democrats’ activities and plans related to above title (past 2 ½ years):
Admit to and provide remedies for a deadly pandemic - check
Increase number of jobs for all citizens - check
Lower health care costs - check
Work to improve economy - check
Seek to “secure” social security, Medicare, Medicaid - check
Strive to strengthen gun laws to reduce gun violence -check
Develop and bring more manufacturing to America -check
Set forth plans to improve environment and save planet - check
Set forth and develop infrastructure plans for entire country - check
Fight to preserve and restore rights for ALL people everywhere - check
Seek to ensure everyone pays fair share of taxes - check
Restore safety regulations for the benefit of workers in particular and the public in general - check
Republicans’ activities and plans related to above title: ?
Republicans’ activities and plans for other “pressing” issues (past several years):
Expose everything on Hunter Biden’s laptop - nothing after 5+ years
Call for the elimination of all rights for all persons who are not straight or white or Christian - check
Use self-recognized wisdom (or complaints of a couple parents) to ban all books deemed inappropriate (by their standards) for all students - check
Try and try again to sneak in disguised cuts to Social Security and Medicare - check
Make sure to always appease “big business,” the NRA, and billionaires - check
Investigate and subpoena all who may put a wrench in plans to divide and destroy our democracy - check
Push to return women’s health care rights to the dark ages - check (ongoing)
Fire, demote, expel anyone who does not agree with them (easier than compromising) - check
Expand voting restrictions especially in areas where opposition is strongest - check
Relax gun laws so no one can be denied the right to solve disputes by lethal means - check
Insist that teachers are grooming their students to be whatever they are not - check
Insist that a disgraced, twice-impeached, indicted former president who never won a popular vote is still the rightful president - because he said so - check
Kowtow to the incoherent, mind-numbing rantings of “Ultra MAGA’s” who are now pulling all the strings of their puppet leaders - check
Overturn/rescind anything good accomplished by Dems - still trying
Keep telling the general public that the Dems are doing all the horrible things that they are actually doing themselves (it’s called projection) - check
Make sure the general public is always fearful, skeptical of facts, and free to blame others for their grievances - check
Convince the public that more people with guns will lower the death count of children - still trying
The only issues needing attention on my kitchen table right now are the dirty dishes. All real issues are being handled by a party that cares … while the other party is drooling, plotting revenge, and sowing the seeds of its own destruction.
