Burket Bible Church To Hold

Good Friday Service

BURKET – Burket Bible Church, 102 Market St., Burket, welcomes everyone to its services this week.  The Good Friday service is at 7 a.m. Friday. The church will observe the Lord's supper with Holy Communion and His crucifixion through the reading of the Word with message and music.  

On Sunday, the church will have Sunday school at 9 a.m. In worship service at 10:15 a.m., the church will celebrate the resurrection of the Lord and savior in message and music.  



First Brethren To Hold Holiday Services

Warsaw First Brethren Church, 1318 E. Center St., Warsaw, will be having its three-fold communion on Maundy Thursday today at 6:30 p.m.

Easter services are on Sunday.

The SONrise service is at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast at 9:15 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m.



Claypool UMC To Hold Easter Services

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., Claypool, will not Sunday school Easter Sunday church at 9 a.m.

Easter sunrise service is at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast to follow then church services.

Maundy Thursday is at  6 p.m. today in the Fellowship Hall.

Devotion study is every Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.

April 16 will be Humor Sunday. The church is to return the envelopes that were given to it to see if they multiplied in value.



Clunette UMC To Hold Easter Services

LEESBURG – –Clunette United Methodist Church, 4227 W. CR 600N, Leesburg, welcomes the community to join them for Easter services on Sunday. The church will gather to sing songs of praise, enjoy special music and hear Pastor Mike Beezley’s message “Witness at the Empty Tomb.”

There will also be a Children’s Moment during service. Since Holy Week is during spring break, the church is not presenting an Easter egg hunt/party this year, so it invites your child to come to Easter services and receive a special little treat to take home with them.

GWMA’s Good Friday Service To

Be At Salvation Army

The annual Good Friday service sponsored by the Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association will be held at The Salvation Army, 501 E. Arthur St., Warsaw, on Friday at 6 p.m.  Dr. Ben Snyder will be the guest speaker with music led by a brass group composed of local musicians. The public is invited to attend.



Mentone UMC To Hold Easter Services

MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, invites the community to join them on Easter Sunday at 8 a.m. for its sunrise service, followed by a full breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and worship service beginning at 10:15 a.m., where Pastor Emily Gearhart presents the message “The Ending That Wasn’t.”

The Good Friday service will be Friday beginning at 7 p.m.

Mark your calendars for a concert April 19 at 6:30 p.m. featuring Brent Vernon, singer-songwriter, ventriloquist, author and illustrator, along with his sidekick Sam. There is no charge, just a love offering. At 6 p.m., the church will have a freewill donation supper in the Fellowship Hall. RSVP at 574-353-7989 to attend the supper.

Stellar Vacation Bible School 2023 will be June 19-22 from 6 to 8 p.m. Registration will begin soon.

The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. They are studying the men and women of the Bible. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.

Feast & Fellowship and youth group meet each Wednesday at 6 p.m. A light meal is provided with informal praise and worship along with something for the children and youth following the meal.

To Hold Holiday Services

AKRON – On Friday, the Good Friday service for Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, is at 6 p.m.

There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.

On Sunday, Easter sunrise service is at 8 a.m.  The combined worship service is at 9:30 a.m.  with refreshments served between services. The sermon is by Pastor Butch Troke.

On Monday, the  4-H meeting is at 7 p.m.  Youth boys Bible study is at Akron from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.  

On Tuesday, the Beaver Dam Women’s meeting is at 9 a.m.

On Wednesday, youth group is at Akron from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The morning will begin with a sunrise service of light with Holy Communion at 7:30 a.m. Following that, the church will go downstairs for breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. First Christian Church, 115 Park Ridge Drive, Warsaw, invites the community to its Easter season services.

During Good Friday worship service Friday at 7 p.m., the church will remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This family service will feature music, communion and a message, “Going the Distance”. Nursery will be available for children from birth to 3 years old.

Also, join the church as it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus. Easter Day services are Sunday at 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Matthew Rogers, lead minister, will share the message “Continuing the Story,” where the church will hear how it gets to be part of the story to come. Sunday morning classes are for all ages at those times, as well.
