Lake City Bank announced that it has promoted Steve D. Schumacher to vice president, retail banking regional manager, a position in which he leads the bank’s East Region retail team. The region includes nine branch offices across five counties. Schumacher succeeds Bruce A. Wright, who retired from Lake City Bank after 24 years.

“We’re thrilled to promote Steve to this key leadership position,” said Stephanie R. Leniski, senior vice president, chief retail banking officer. “Steve brings a wealth of retail banking and managerial experience to this role. We are confident he will further the bank’s long track record of success in the East Region.”

Schumacher has 30 years of experience in banking, including the previous 20 years with Lake City Bank. During his two decades with the bank, he has managed the Auburn and Fort Wayne North offices. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

“Bruce was our first hire in Fort Wayne and he worked tirelessly since day one to build a strong banking foundation in our East Region,” said David M. Findlay, president and chief executive officer. “We are grateful for his leadership and commitment to the community banking principles that define Lake City Bank.”

Lake City Bank, a $6.3 billion bank headquartered in Warsaw, is the seventh largest bank headquartered in the state, and the largest bank 100% invested in Indiana. Lake City Bank operates 52 branch offices in northern and central Indiana, delivering technology-driven solutions in a client-centric way to individuals and businesses.
