Echoes Of The Past Fall Festival Planned For October

By Staff Report-

CLAYPOOL - Wet and soggy conditions forced The Echoes of the Past to cancel their annual fall festival last year. Club members are crossing their fingers that Mother Nature will be more kind this year and the weather cooperates to host the event on Oct. 14-15.

It will be at the corner of County Farm Road and CR 700S in Claypool

Activities will kick off at 4 p.m. Oct. 14 and continue until 9 p.m. On Oct. 15, the event will begin at noon and continue until 9 p.m.

The club has something planned for everyone to enjoy, according to a provided news release. A horse-drawn wagon will be giving rides throughout the grounds. Kids activities, including a tractor driving experience, will be available throughout the day. Pumpkins will be given to the kids on a first-come, first-serve basis until gone.  The club asks that a limit of one pumpkin per child is observed in order to serve more children. The corn maze is standing ready for those who dare to give it a try.  The haunted hayride will begin each day at 4 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m.

Food will be served during the festival by Wheels on Fire Cancer Crusaders with proceeds going to benefit local cancer patients. A menu of pork burgers, sloppy joes, hot dogs, ham and beans (Friday) and chili (Saturday) will be served for patrons of the event to enjoy.
