Football

Tippecanoe Valley at Whitko

Tippecanoe Valley remains undefeated this season after a 60-6 victory over Whitko Friday. The Vikings are now 6-0, 5-0 in the Three Rivers Conference. Whitko falls to 0-6, 0-5 in the TRC.

The Vikings totaled 447 yards of offense on 24 plays, 389 of those yards coming on the ground. Wade Jones had a 66-yard touchdown run. Wes Parker and Grady Moriarty both ran for scores in the fourth quarter.

Tippecanoe Valley faces Maconaquah at home next week, while Whitko travels to Manchester.

Southwood at Manchester

Manchester is still searching for its first win of the season after falling 55-22 to Southwood Friday night. The Squires are now 0-6, 0-5 in the TRC.

Brock Casper threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns. Memphis Wood caught six passes for 130 yards and two scores. Manchester hosts Whitko on Friday.



Girls Golf

Warsaw/Tippecanoe Valley at Regional

Warsaw and Tippecanoe Valley’s girls golf teams competed at the IHSAA golf regional at Noble Hawk Golf Links on Friday. Both team’s seasons ended after not qualifying for state. Warsaw finished in 5th place with a team score of 357, Valley in 7th with a 389.

Abbey Peterson paced Warsaw with a 76. Madelyn Weaver shot an 88 to lead Tippy Valley.



Cross Country

Warsaw at Culver Invite

The Lady Tigers were again on the course for the Culver Invite this Saturday.  The Tigers placed 3rd as a team behind two ranked Ohio teams.  Josefina Rastrelli placed 4th overall in a time of 18:14.30 just 0.4 seconds out of 2nd place.  The Tiger pack of Mikayla Mimnaugh 32nd (20:23.9), Elizabeth Vander Bie 33rd (20:24,1), Ella Laput 34th (20:24.7), and Samantha Rastrelli 41st (20:29.2) closed out the team scoring.  Marissa Howett 58th (20:55.8) and Ellie Transparenti 59th (20:55.9) finished the Tiger pack attack for a team 6th and 7th position respectively.  

The Tiger JV also finished in third place with Maggie Barnett leading the way in a 6th place finish at 21:59.9.  Isabelle Hremann 15th (22:12.1), Bryce Eherenman 19th (22:26.5), Kirra Morgan 28th (22:38.8), and Hannah Fisher 31st (22:45.8) rounded out the scoring.  

Lady Tiger assistant coach Jenny Dannemiller stated, “the girls were focused and knew we needed to move our pack up the line today, and they answered the call.  We had many season best times with some personal bests in there too.  It was a good day for the Tigers.”

The Ladies will be back in action at Ox Bow Park for the NLC Conference Championships next Saturday.  The Tigers look to capture the overall title with a strong performance.



Volleyball

Warsaw at Warsaw Invitational

Warsaw volleyball competed at its home invitational Saturday, finishing in third place. The Tigers are now 17-8.

The Tigers took 2-0 victories over Fort Wayne Northrop, Fort Wayne Snyder and Homestead. The team’s lone loss came at the hands of Laporte. Avery Hales had eleven aces and 65 assists. Kaylee Weeks led the team with 32 kills. Leah Henderson had five blocks.

Warsaw is back in action Thursday at home against NorthWood.



Boys Soccer

Lakeland Christian at Woodlan

Lakeland Christian got a win on the road Saturday, defeating Woodlan 2-1. The Cougars are now 6-8 this season.

After falling behind early, LCA got goals from Nate Reimink and Casen Vawter in the second half to secure the victory. The Cougars play their next game Tuesday against Culver Academy.
